🔵 Account & Registration Problems (Most Common Searches)
🟠 “Invalid Account” / “Invalid Region” in Purple Launcher
Players worldwide report that their account works on the website but not in Purple.
Why it happens:
- Wrong region selected during registration
- Email used in another NCSoft region
- Purple detects region mismatch
How to fix:
- Create a Taiwan-only account: https://tw.ncsoft.com
- Use a fresh email (Gmail recommended)
- Verify your email before logging in
- Close Purple → delete cache:
C:\Program Files (x86)\NCSOFT\Purple\Cache - Log in again
🟡 Verification Email Not Arriving
Fixes:
- Check Spam/Junk
- Resend after 5 minutes
- Try Outlook if Gmail fails
- Enable “Allow external images”
🔴 SMS Verification Code Not Working (Error 40309:500, No SMS, Invalid Number)
One of the biggest problems for Aion 2 Taiwan players, especially from USA, EU, LATAM.
Why it happens:
- International SMS restrictions
- Too many attempts
- Carrier filters
- Server throttling
- Wrong number format
Correct USA phone number format:

Fixes that really work:
- Switch from Wi-Fi → Mobile Data
- Use a mobile hotspot
- Restart Purple completely
- Delete Purple cache
- Wait until 00:01 Taiwan time (after daily reset)
- Use Email Verification instead of SMS (recommended)
🔵 Purple Launcher Issues (Login, Device Registration, OTP Problems)
🔴 Taiwan Server NOT Showing in Purple
Fix:
- Update Purple: https://purple.ncsoft.com
- Log out → log in
- Clear cache
- Try a different network
- Restart PC
🟠 “Cannot Register Device” Security Error
This happens when Purple can’t validate your connection.
Fix:
- Use a mobile hotspot
- Change DNS to 1.1.1.1
- Restart router
- Use wired connection
- Retry after 2–3 minutes
🟣 Error 40309:500 (Temporary SMS Verification Failure)
What it means:
- Server is overloaded
- SMS gateway blocked your attempts
- Region-based delivery issue
Fix:
- Wait until midnight Taiwan/Korea time
- Don’t spam the verification button
- Use Email verification
- Ensure correct phone number formatting
🔵 Purple Launcher Stuck at “Preparing…” or 0%
Fix:
- Run Purple as Administrator
- Install on another drive
- Temporarily disable antivirus
- Restart Purple
🔵 Installation & Download Problems
🟠 Game Won’t Download / Stuck at 0%
Fix:
- Free 10–12 GB
- Restart launcher
- Install on different partition

Aion 2 Taiwan servers are far from US/EU/LATAM, so high ping is expected.
Improve performance:

- Change DNS to 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8
- Switch to a low-population channel
🔴 Disconnected When Entering Cities
Cities like Sanctum get overloaded.
Fix:
- Change channel
- Relog
