NC announced a two-day open beta for the global version of AION 2, giving players an opportunity to experience the highly anticipated MMORPG ahead of its official launch. The test will be open to everyone, except players located in countries affected by regional or age restrictions.
The open beta will be available simultaneously on Steam and PURPLE, allowing players to participate through either platform.
AION 2 Open Beta Dates and Duration
The test will have a limited schedule, with the servers remaining available for six hours each day. The open beta will take place on September 17 and September 18.
Character progress will carry over from the first day of testing to the second, allowing players to continue their adventure from where they left off. However, once the open beta ends, all character and account progress made during the test will be wiped.
This reset will ensure that beta participants do not have an advantage over other players when AION 2 enters Early Access and officially launches.
Open Beta Content and Limitations
As this is a pre-release test, the open beta version of AION 2 will feature several major content and feature limitations. One of the most notable restrictions is the level cap, with characters only able to reach level 37 during the beta.
This restriction will limit access to certain activities and content available at later stages of the MMORPG. In addition, several features related to the in-game economy and monetization will remain disabled throughout the test.
- The maximum character level will be 37.
- The Auction House will be disabled.
- The premium shop will not be available.
- Battle Passes will remain disabled.
- Paid outfits and costumes will not be available.
The open beta will provide a first opportunity for a wider audience to experience the global version of AION 2, test its core gameplay systems, and explore some of the content players can expect when the MMORPG officially launches.
